Suspected Pakistani link to Taliban.
Pakistan has played a dominant role in supporting the Taliban during the civil war. It is unlikely that this deep, strenuous connection broke since the beginning of the war in Afghanistan. It is unfortunate that US does not have enough leverage on Pakistan to coerce it.
